Army Porter Dies Under Mysterious Circumstances in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 15: A porter working for the Indian army died under mysterious circumstances in Kashmir.

Police sources said that Mohammad Rafiq Mughal, who was working as an army porter was found dead near an army camp Nawan Gali in Kupwara in North Kashmir.

"The post-mortem of his body was conducted and the autopsy report is awaited. Police have registered a case and launched investigations," they said.

Meanwhile, police recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in North Kashmir on Saturday.

Police sources said that Indian army, para-military and police during normal patrolling detected an IED planted by militants on a roadside near Delina, some 50 kms from the summer capital, Srinagar. "The experts of bomb disposal squad were rushed to the spot and after intense efforts they neutralised the device without any damage to property," they said.
