Indian Soldier Shots Self in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 11: An Indian army soldier shot himself from his service rifle inside his camp in Kashmir.

Police sources said that an Indian army soldier identified as Naik Kulbir Singh of (No. 12924047) of 157 T. Army posted at Army picket Kathar DITCH in the Jammu region of Kashmir shot himself from his Light Machine Gun, which was kept in the picket. His colleagues rushed to the spot after hearing the gun-shots. They shifted him to army hospital, where doctors are attending on him.

The doctors have termed his condition as critical.

Army has launched a probe to ascertain the reason as to why soldier shot himself.
