Voting for Obama NOT an Option for Real Americans

That is simply not the truth - - the belief that if you don't vote for Obama, liberals try to make you feel that you are a racist. I think this year, far more than any other election year, people have done their research - - not just the voting records of the candidates, but they have checked out who can be in this world and work "with" the international community.

Many Republicans, such as myself, and undecided voters switched when McCain chose his running mate. McCain, for all of the good health and longevity genes purported, does not look healthy and does not seem to be alert (a dull mentation). His running mate is not someone I want at the helm of this country, which could very well happen. Really, McCain's time should have occurred in the last election; we Republicans made our mistake then.

With the instability of this economy, I realize our "super power" position in the world has been reduced many notches. We can no longer tolerate an administration that says "My way or the highway" or "You're either for us, or you are against us." That sort of arrogance will keep lowering our popularity rating, thus lowering our ability to regain a stable economy. We simply have lost our position in the world financial market. One thing is certain; we will be seeking financial support from stronger international economies to stabilize our economy.

So for me, I read publications around the world to see in which candidate countries have the most faith in the integrity and leadership of that candidate. How the international community feels about the leadership of this country is key in the type of international support we will receive. The candidate that excites our allies and the international community without question is Obama. That is the simple truth.

Colin Powell summed up our (the Republican who are voting for Obama) sentiments in his endorsement of Barack Obama.
