Protesters Attacked By Guards Near California Scientology Compound
Letter to the Editor
Protests occur regularly against the human rights abuses of Scientology. Peaceful demonstrations are held in cities from New York to London and Sydney. However, on October 26, 2008, at the Scientology compound near Hemet, California, protesters were attacked by Scientology guards. Footage of the assault is now available online.
Reported by Mark Ebner at Hollywood Interrupted and Alex Carnevale at Gawker on November 2, 2008, this is a developing story with further video footage of the incident still to be released.
