Ralph Nader vice presidential running mate Matt Gonzalez makes stops Saturday in Sacramento, UC Davis
SACRAMENTO/DAVIS - Ralph Nader vice presidential running mate Matt Gonzalez will make stops in Sacramento and Davis Saturday, prior to participating Sunday in a national vice presidential debate.
At a "Candidate Meet and Greet" Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Peace and Freedom Party Headquarters (1501 21st St, 21st & O), Gonzalez is expected to address the crowd, around 12 Noon.
Moving to UC Davis on Saturday afternoon, Gonzalez plans to address students and the community at 4pm. (1309 Surge III)
Other Peace and Freedom Party candidates, including Linda Roberts (5th CD), Dina Padilla (3rd CD), Gerald Frink (9th AD) and Karen Martinez (5th AD) will meet Gonzalez in Sacramento.
Gonzalez, a former Green Party president of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and currently a civil rights attorney in San Francisco, was chosen by Nader, a former Green Party presidential candidate in 1996 and 2002, as his VP.
Like the late Peter Camejo in 2006, Nader and Gonzalez are running an independent race in 2008.
