Black Hills Corp. Announces Quarterly Dividend and Schedules Third Quarter 2008 Conference Call

RAPID CITY, S.D., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- At a meeting held Oct. 29, 2008, the board of directors of Black Hills Corp. (NYSE: BKH) declared a quarterly dividend on the common stock. Common shareholders of record at the close of business on Nov. 14, 2008, will receive 35 cents per share, payable on Dec. 1, 2008.

"The dividend declaration by our board of directors during this volatile and uncertain credit environment is a sign of the board's continued confidence in our strategy, business performance and financial liquidity," said David R. Emery, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Black Hills Corp.

In addition, the company will issue a news release regarding third quarter 2008 financial results on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, and host a live conference call and webcast at 11 a.m. EDT on Thursday, Nov. 6.
