Nepal Without Monarchy An Exercise in Futility
Latter to the Editor
The article which is published in News Blaze 'Nepal: without monarchy?' by Dirgha Raj Prasai is most logical. This article is written with historical facts which should help misguided people to understand and follow the right way. Nepalese Monarchy is a established traditional institution followed by different castes, ethnic groups and Nepalese following different faiths.
But, now-a-days Nepalis are very sad. The disintegrating agendas of republic, secularism and federalism will disintegrate the nation. Now, the Maoists are the controlling regime. The Maoists are going to destroy our culture, traditions and history. They want to abolish Bikram Sambat(era).
Bikram Sambat proved to be correct, because it contained 365 days in a year in contrast to 354 days in the Nepal Sambat. The historical Sambat never was practical. I think, 75 percent of Newars will never follow the order of the Maoists & some Newars.
I have studied that some Newars like - Padmaratna, Maniklal and their followers never follow the fact. We, Tarain also never follow the useless orders of Maoist government. I ask the Maoists not to try this exercise in futility. History always follows the real events, evidence, writings, chronology, the heresay also must be thustworthy. So, let us not stablish any assumptions contrary to the historical fact only to gain political or individual racial benefit.
The previous article 'History of Nepal Sambat & 'Nepal without Monarchy,' published in News Blaze is praiseworthy. I extend thanks to this popular Newspaper - 'News Blaze.'
