Military family members are upsetting Senator McCain's expectations in this Presidential Election by backing the candidate they feel will be the best President and Commander-in-Chief: Senator Barack Obama.
Though Cindy McCain recently attacked Obama as a 'military mom,' and McCain noted in last night's debate the support he has from military wives, the largest most organized group of military family members ever - Blue Star Families for Obama - is rallying behind the Democratic candidate.
Blue Star Families for Obama represents the first time family members of the active duty community have spoken out en mass for a candidate - Democrat or Republican. Their recently produced video ( www.bsf4o.com ) presenting their case for military support of Obama was covered in a review on Huffington Post that has been viewed by more than 350,000 people and has remained "most popular" all week.
Blue Star Families for Obama has chapters in 24 states, and regularly communicates with tens of thousands of supporters. Members host house parties, write letters to the editor, monitor live blog events, and participate in rallies.
A recent video viewer shared: *I sent the link to my very conservative neighbors here in Alabama and got this one response back: "I am one of those fence 'straddlers'... I have been sooo torn about which candidate to support. Thank you for the video clip. I am leaning towards Obama!" *A viewer on DailyKos wrote,* "If the Obama campaign airs only one campaign ad, it should be this one!"*
BSF4O members are inspired and impressed by Sen. Obama's voting record and support of Veterans and the military family community. They also believe that Sen. Obama projects the most attractive American values across our country and our globe.
