Sona Mobile Launches Mobile Wagering Platform (mWager(TM)) for New York Racing Association

Sona Mobile will receive a percentage of each wager transacted via the mWager(TM) application.

mWager(TM) provides NYRA Rewards account wagering customers with the convenience and ability to wager "anywhere, anytime" using mobile devices. Using Sona's unique Dynamic Program Page, NYRA Rewards mobile wagering patrons will be able to view detailed race program information, such as horse name, owner, trainer, jockey, runner number, saddle towel colors, morning line, minutes to post, scratches, and updated current odds for each horse in races live or simulcast that NYRA offers. Other functionality will include the ability to view race results, account balance and wagering history.

The launch follows the recent final approval by theNew York State Racing and Wagering Board for mobile wagering. NYRA will launch mWager(TM) initially on Blackberry and iPhone devices and will follow in the coming weeks with Pocket PC, Smart Phone and browser-based (WAP) offerings. The NYRA Rewards Mobile application, powered by Sona Mobile's web and wireless platform, mWager(TM), is available for browser access or thin client download at http://m.nyra.com.
