Response to Dzongkha: How well are you?
As much as I. P. Adhikari wishes to demean Dzongkha, it's back on track more than ever. Dzongkha songs are popularized by FM radios, people are talking to teach each other and singing to each other through their mobiles to FM stations.
Maybe you have not heard that part of it which is revolutionizing Dzongkha. Poems are being composed and recited every day. Dzongkha films are being churned out by the dozen, 27 in a year and it'll move to 50 soon. This is more than what Nepal can produce.
Pirated copies are being sold in the streets of Lhasa, Tawang, Gantok and Ladakh people are singing, writing and communicating in Dzongkha. So as much as you would like to blaken its face deep in your heart, it's on an upward trend.
