THE WEEK AHEAD: YOUR HOROSCOPE FOR OCTOBER 20-26, 2008

ARIES (Mar. 21- April 20): Improved spirits at work lead to the potential for advancement, or possibly romance. Momentum builds towards a memorable and happy weekend. Watch for new financial opportunities Wednesday and Thursday.

TAURUS (Apr. 21- May 21): You may find it easier to speak up on outstanding issues with family and friends this week. An upswing in the romance department pays off later in the month. An excellent opportunity to get caught up on old projects this weekend.

GEMINI (May 22-June 21): Finances will require extra attention in the early part of the week. Delay expenses until later in the week if possible. An additional effort may be required to make social plans come together this weekend, but should prove to be worth it.

CANCER (June 22-July 22): An opportunity to show off your skills early in the week gains you attention. A month of new romantic opportunities begins this week, despite a less-than-thrilling weekend schedule.

LEO (July 23-Aug 22): Mysterious signals in your personal life early in the week translate into a newfound confidence with things Wednesday and Thursday. Conditions at work continue to be mildly dissatisfying until next week. Get caught up with old contacts on the weekend.

VIRGO (Aug. 23 -Sept. 23): Personal connections and socializing take the edge off of work early in the week. Mid week sees new opportunities to express yourself. Budget your weekend in advance -- opportunities to overspend will be tempting.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 -Oct. 23): Speaking up at work will have its rewards in the early part of the week. Opportunities to spend money will outstrip your cash supply throughout the middle of the week. Opportunities arise for quiet reflection this weekend.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22): Work on long term goals early in the week will be rewarded with new ideas. New social connections will arise later in the week. Socialize this weekend, but make back-up plans -- things may go awry with friends.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 -Dec. 21): Uncharacteristic personal insecurities nag at the beginning of the week, resolving themselves by Thursday, and finishing the week with a new sense of self-confidence. Make new social connections on the weekend.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22.- Jan. 20): Those closest to you may seem unstable and needy throughout the first part of the week; you may be called upon to help. Re-strengthen connections with loved one Thursday and Friday, with benefits to be reaped on the weekend.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 -Feb. 19): Disruptions and peculiarities in your daily routine early in the week may interfere with relationships. Work and finances strengthen later in the work week. Social connections take a turn for the thoughtful on the weekend.

PISCES (Feb. 20-Mar. 20): New opportunities for romantic connections and strengthening relationships emerge early in the week. Take extra caution with spending and signing agreements Thursday and Friday. Opportunities emerge for a very close encounter this weekend.

EVERYONE: Venus enters Sagittarius this week. The next month and a half will see romantic rewards for the Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) and money/workplace improvements for the Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces).
