American Well Systems CEO Roy Schoenberg to Present Live Public Demo of First Online Care Service at Health 2.0 Conference
BOSTON, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- American Well today announced that CEO Roy
Schoenberg, MD, MPH; Elif Eracar, vice president, product management; and
Michael Stollar, vice president of marketing and communications at Blue Cross
Blue Shield ofHawaii (HMSA), will provide a live, public demonstration of
Online Care, which is going live for allHawaii residents in January 2009.
This "Deep Dive Demonstration" will take place at 10:00 a.m. PDT on October
23, 2008 atSan Francisco's Health 2.0 conference. Dr. Schoenberg will then
participate in a panel discussion at 10:45 a.m. PDT focused on how innovative
new tools, including Online Care, can fundamentally change the way healthcare
is delivered for consumers.
The "Deep Dive Demonstration" will showcase how easily consumers using
Online Care can connect with the right physician for them and, within moments,
have a consultation. It will be presented live and in real-time, giving
attendees a sneak peek at the actual experience of consumers and physicians
interacting through this service.
Later that morning, at 10:45 a.m., Dr. Schoenberg will join other esteemed
panelists for a session titled, "Tools for Consumers." This discussion focuses
on tools as the third leg of the Health 2.0 "stool," along with search and
community. It examines how today's innovations can transform care by offering
consumers personalized information that enables decisions and transactions.
Additionally, Yael Glassman, vice president of marketing at American Well,
will participate in a panel titled, "Health 2.0 Platforms for Patient-Provider
Communication." The panel will be held at 4:10 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, October
22, 2008.
