Four Jaish Militants Arrested in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 14: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four militants owing allegiance to Pakistan based militant group, Jaish-e-Mohammad.

A police spokesman said that acting on specific information, police arrested a Jaish-e-Mohammad militant Zahoor-ul-Islam alias Chotu alias Zubair from Srinagar and recovered one Chinese pistol, one magazine, five rounds of ammunition and one Chinese Grenade from his possession. "On his disclosure, his three associates namely Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh alias Suhail, Nadeem Ahmad Bhat alias Khalid and Nadeem Ahmad Ganai alias Tahir were arrested," he said.

The spokesman said that during the initial investigation, the arrested militants revealed that they were in close contact with Chief Operational Commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad namely Pasha, who was killed in North Kashmir last week.
