Intelligent building company expands team to meet increased demand

London, 14th October 2008: CDC, the intelligent buildings experts, has appointed Eleanor Johnson to the role of UK Sales Manager to meet the demand for intelligent building technology in the UK.  Eleanor, who has more than 20 years of industry experience, will be responsible for managing key UK customer accounts with CDC's blue chip client base ensuring that they are maximising their intelligent building technology to the full.  She will also play a key role in helping strategic partners  to identify opportunities and presales of CDC's Integra solution.  Eleanor will report to John Sharvell.

Eleanor will work closely with CDC's clients and partners to identify new and innovative ways to use their existing Integra installation. She will highlight areas where customers can further reduce operational and management costs, as well as helping them to cut carbon emissions and create a greener building.

Prior to joining CDC, Eleanor spent two years at UK security software business Petards Group, (now acquired by BAE Systems) where she was responsible for strategic suppliers and partners via a highly effective and targeted partner programme.  Before this, Eleanor held senior channel management positions with network operators Interoute Communications and Tiscali Business Sevices  At Tiscali, Eleanor accelerated the company's business plan by two years by bringing in landmark multi-million fixed contracts  with Adecco and Monsoon in her first 6 months.

Mike Williams, Founder and MD of CDC comments: "Increasing numbers of companies are realising the benefits that intelligent buildings can bring.  As a result, we are seeing a surge in demand for Integra, for use in new-builds, and existing buildings alike.  As CDC expands, it is vital that we continue to deliver a high level of customer support for our valued customers in the UK.  Eleanor has the industry experience, knowledge and understanding to deliver top class service to our all our clients and will be key in the growth of CDC over the next five years."

The Integra Intelligent Building Framework was created by CDC and is the first ever IP-enabled integrated building management system, helping organisations to realise the full potential of IP convergence to control, monitor and optimise the built environment.
