Hifn to Showcase Industry's First Hardware-Accelerated Storage Solutions at SNW
LOS GATOS, Calif., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hifn(TM)
(Nasdaq: HIFN), the catalyst behind storage and networking innovation, will
feature two demonstrations, highlighting the company's industry-leading
hardware-advantaged capacity optimization and data encryption solutions. The
demonstrations will take place at the Storage Networking World event taking
place October 13-16 at the Gaylord Texan Hotel inDallas.

Hifn will be demonstrating its new hardware-accelerated data
de-duplication product. As the first vendor to deliver a hardware-accelerated
data de-duplication product, Hifn has eliminated performance barriers to
enhance existing data de-duplication solutions for backup and secondary
storage, as well as enable de-duplication for primary storage. Hifn's
demonstration will explore the advantages of Hifn's block-level de-duplication
technology and its potential market applications to support in-line, real-time
data de-duplication.
In addition, as a Microsoft Gold certified partner, Hifn will be
demonstrating the first secure Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager
(DPM) 2007 solution in the Microsoft Partner Pavilion at SNW. The secure DPM
demonstration will showcase Hifn's Express DS data security acceleration cards
integrated with Microsoft's System Center DPM 2007 to secure specific volumes
of data. The secure DPM solution enables IT administrators to quickly and
easily add high-performance data security to their DPM storage. Hifn's
Express DS products integrate seamlessly into the Microsoft environment
protecting all DPM 2007 data with hardware-accelerated 256-bt encryption at
more than 400,000 packets per second, whether the data is at rest on an SQL
Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, SharePoint(R) Portal Server, Microsoft
Virtual Server, as well as Windows file services, or in transit over the
network to a disk or tape backup device.
