Self-Serving Managers go Online for Analysis and Decision Support

Silsoe UK, 13.10.2008, Leading integrated HR and Payroll systems company, Carval (www.carval.co.uk) has announced the launch of a new management self-service solution that uses browser technology to deliver secure web-access to HR and payroll data. The new solution enables management to perform online strategic business analysis, essential to decision support, by interrogating data held on Carval's HR Unity software, an integrated suite of flexible and easy to use modules including: Human Resource Management, Payroll, Time and Attendance and Employee Self-Service.

This single management view allows users to generate detailed, cross-function reports on areas such as headcounts, salaries or absenteeism.  Users can also access staff profiles, photos, and qualification information, submit training requests, schedule regular reports or conduct modeling exercises. All of these activities can be performed without interrupting the HR team or disturbing their working practices.

By exploiting the latest SQL single-database technology, all Carval's systems aim to drastically increase administrative efficiencies, reduce HR and payroll operating costs and to ensure that strategic decision making is based upon the highest levels of cross-function data management. The new on line self-service solution is aimed at making this data even more accessible.

It is thought that this latest extension to the range will also be of considerable interest to HR and Payroll bureaux who may wish to offer this functionality to their clients.

Commenting upon the launch John Ovington, Sales & Support Director of Carval noted, "Managers across the enterprise need to be increasingly responsive to board level requests for information. This is especially true given current economic circumstances. Often, they need to get the key data out quickly to support critical business decisions. It made sense, therefore, for us to be equally responsive and develop a new module that met these needs."

All Carval's systems will be on show at Softworld 14th / 15th October 2008 - STAND HR 101
