Sarah Palin's Campaign Tactics UnChristian & Unbiblical

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said more than one person has whispered in her ear in Ohio that John McCain needs 'to take the gloves off' in his campaign against Democrat Barack Obama. Before a friendly crowd of Republican fundraisers Friday, the Alaska governor did that herself." Associated Press

The bare-knuckled barracuda took off her gloves a long time ago, she enjoys hurling baseless and vicious accusations against Barack Obama. McCain had been content to let his surrogates throw mud at Obama, but recently he's been getting quite dirty himself. It's hard to conceive how the McCain campaign can sink any lower in the gutter.

Palin is kept far away from the "elite media" and the public, only ethically-challenged campaign advisers can get close enough to whisper foolish advice in her ear. I wish she would pay attention to everyday Americans who are tired of the politics of personal destruction, and want to hear what she and McCain plan to do about the deepening economic crisis.

America is suffering the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression, and if you turn on the TV will you see McCain ads addressing this critical issue?

"The Wisconsin Advertising Project at the University of Wisconsin-Madison found that Democrat Barack Obama spent a total of $17.5 million and Republican John McCain spent $11 million on TV national TV advertising last week.

That included $2.2 million spent by Obama and $1.7 million by McCain in Ohio last week.

Nearly 100 percent of McCain's ads aired last week were negative, compared to 34 percent negative ads by Obama. However, over the course of the campaign, the "negatives" are much closer: McCain 73 percent, Obama 61 percent."

McCain and Palin are fiddlin' while Main Street is burning; shame on them they should focus on the economy and other pressing issues.

The born again Pit Bull should read the Bible admonitions against bearing false witness and spreading gossip.

In Palin's insulated world "dirty politics" might be deemed the only appropriate strategy for a politician who is behind in the polls. But if Palin pays any attention to those polls, she will realize that the more she hurls mud, the lower she sinks in the polls.
