MND-B Soldiers detain suspected terrorists in Rashid

FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq - Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldiers detained two people Oct. 8 in Baghdad's Rashid district.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., Soldiers from Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, MND-B, detained a suspected al-Qaeda in Iraq operative and one other in southeastern Baghdad. The reputed terrorist is suspected of conducting attacks against Coalition forces and sniper activity in Baghdad's Rashid district.

"The 1st Brigade continues to take the fight to the enemy alongside their counterparts, the Iraqi Security Forces, to keep the Iraqi people safe in their neighborhoods and their homes," said Maj. Dave Olson, 1st BCT spokesperson. "Our Soldiers, working with the support of the Iraqi people, continue to relentlessly pursue the criminals and terrorists that were the cause of violence for so long."
