UPDATED: Wausau Signature Agency Helps Clients Combat Equipment Theft
WAUSAU, Wis., Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Wausau Signature Agency (WSA)
announced today that it has entered into an alliance with the National
Equipment Register (NER) to help WSA clients combat the growing problem of
construction equipment theft by registering their equipment on NER's HELPtech
database.

Through the alliance, WSA staff will have a better opportunity to advise
clients about equipment theft risks and solutions through access to NER's
expertise and industry contacts.
NER's secure and confidential online registration of contractors'
equipment, including descriptions of construction equipment and serial
numbers, is stored in a national database to support police seeking to
identify the true owner of a machine. In addition, registrants receive a
warning decal to display on each piece of equipment to deter thieves.
