IODA Launches Partnership With Bonnier Amigo, the Nordic Region's Largest Independent Music Company
IODA to Provide Global Digital Distribution for Nordic Labels and Make Its International Catalog Available to All Retailers in the Region

IODA, the
global leader in digital distribution, marketing, and technology solutions
for the independent music and film industry, today launched IODA Nordic
through a partnership with Bonnier
Amigo Music Group, the music arm of Bonnier AB, the Nordic media giant.
Under the terms of the strategic partnership, IODA will distribute Bonnier
Amigo's catalog of independent music and labels through its international
network of online and mobile partners. Together, Bonnier Amigo and IODA
will provide marketing support for their large catalogs to local retail
partners in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. The announcement was made
today at the Popkomm 2008 conference in Berlin, Germany.
Bonnier Amigo Music Group, the largest independent Scandinavian music
group, serves all of Scandinavia with music distribution, local A&R, sales
and marketing services. From
singles-driven pop to the most respected Scandinavian jazz and folk music
of this era, Bonnier Amigo has built a large network of quality music, from
throughout the region. IODA Nordic marks Bonnier Amigo's strong commitment
to digital marketing and retail as a core component of its business
strategy.
"We are thrilled to partner with IODA to stimulate a new era of opportunity
and growth for the independent music community in the Nordic region. We see
great potential for IODA's international catalog of artists and labels and
look forward to increasing their exposure through active marketing
campaigns and retail placement," said Fredrik Ekander, CEO of Bonnier
Amigo. "IODA's technology platform is the best in the industry -- and we
look forward to providing our labels with an effective way to grow their
digital sales globally."
Through IODA Nordic, Bonnier Amigo's artists and labels will have access to
comprehensive digital distribution and targeted, automated marketing
services in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and in the rest of the world.
IODA's worldwide network, which spans every major music market, will
provide Bonnier Amigo labels with the ability to more actively build their
international fan bases.
Similar to IODA's strategy in France, Japan, Mexico and Spain, its choice
to partner with Bonnier Amigo is rooted in the company's strong independent
music catalog, proven success in physical distribution and its focus on
using technology to grow the independent music industry.
"Bonnier Amigo shares our commitment to using digital technology to level
the playing field for the independent music community," said Kevin Arnold,
founder and CEO of IODA. "Our
global technology platform and Bonnier Amigo's music representation and
local market knowledge will make IODA Nordic a potent asset for both labels
and retailers in northern Europe. There is a wealth of quality music coming
out of this part of the world and we look forward to making more of it
available to fans everywhere."
IODA and Bonnier Amigo are both present at the Popkomm Music Fair 2008,
taking place October 8-10, 2008 in Berlin. Kevin Arnold will speak at the
conference's session entitled "Everything's Going Up Except Downloads" on
October 9 at 2 pm Central European Daylight Time (CEDT).
