The Buckle, Inc. Reports September 2008 Net Sales

The Buckle, Inc. (NYSE: BKE) announced today that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the five-week period ended October 4, 2008, increased 19.7 percent from comparable store net sales for the five-week period ended October 6, 2007. Net sales for the five-week fiscal month ended October 4, 2008 increased 26.2 percent to $72.8 million from net sales of $57.7 million for the prior year five-week fiscal month ended October 6, 2007.

Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 35-week period ended October 4, 2008 increased 24.9 percent from comparable store net sales for the 35-week period ended October 6, 2007. Net sales for the 35-week fiscal period ended October 4, 2008 increased 32.3 percent to $480.4 million from net sales of $363.0 million for the prior year 35-week fiscal period ended October 6, 2007.
