CALGARY, ALBERTA - (Marketwire - Oct. 8, 2008) - Grasslands Entertainment Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GEE) today announced the appointment of James W. Ripley as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. Mr. Ripley will continue in his role as the Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation as well.
In addition, the Corporation has retained William R. Harrison (CMA) as a financial consultant to advise and assist management and the board of directors in accounting and financial reporting compliance matters. Until March, 2008, Mr. Harrison was the Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation and is familiar with the historic business and current strategies to find strategic alternatives for the Corporation.
The Corporation also announces that Darryl McKinnon has resigned as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation to pursue other business interests.
