NEW YORK (EWORLDWIRE) Oct 8, 2008
With a weekend of festivity remaining, the final, functional strokes of the Governor's Island Art Fair are drawn on Sunday, October 12, when invited guests, dignitaries and other honorable persons trace their way to the center of New York Harbor.
Thousands have eyed the artistic talent of New York's art community presented at the admission-free fair, enjoying fare-free ferry rides to and from the Island for weeks. From oil and watercolor paintings to black, white and color photographs; from video and sound installation to outdoor sculpture, the Fair's collections piqued new perspectives of art across a range of intensities - from subtle introspection to all-out rooms of installation - and the event presented an opportunity for attendees to see and buy artwork from some of New York's most sought-after artists.

Ernie Sandidge, Nicole Laemmle, Antony Zito and Preet Srivastava restructured the form of contemporary art fairs with four heads and a hundred arms. A group of 4 painters, The 4heads have created a brilliant art fair "for artists by artists" in a beautiful, historic park setting.
