Veteran Aviation and Public Relations Executive to Join Englander & Associates as Partner

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Englander & Associates announced today that veteran aviation and public relations executive Paul A. Haney will join the strategic communications and public affairs firm in November as a partner helping aerospace, airline and other travel-related companies develop and execute strategies to achieve their goals. The Los Angeles Business Journal ranked Englander & Associates as the fastest growing independent public relations firm, and the 10th largest PR firm, in Los Angeles County.

Haney comes to Englander & Associates from Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) where he served as deputy executive director for the City of Los Angeles agency that owns and operates Los Angeles International Airport and three other airports. In eight years at LAWA, Haney's responsibilities included oversight of operations, construction and maintenance, security, air service development, and public and community relations.

Haney has a journalism degree from the University of Kansas. He worked for Gannett Newspapers and United Press International as a reporter and bureau chief before joining American Airlines at its corporate headquarters.
