Capella Announces Two Senior Executive Appointments
Prepares for Rapid Product Distribution Around the Globe

Capella
Intelligent Subsystems, the leader in wavelength management subsystems
for use in reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexers (ROADM) and optical
cross connect (OXC) applications, today announced two key senior executive
appointments, effective immediately. Jaime Reloj has been named vice
president of global sales and marketing and Ken Falta is now vice president
of business development and product line management.
The executive appointments follow a successful transition to high volume
production of the WP4500 product line and new customer acquisitions and
underscore Capella's strategy to distribute and support products on a
global basis.

As Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, Jaime Reloj is charged
with overseeing all facets of Capella's international expansion including
sales, business development, product marketing and customer service. Prior
to joining Capella, Reloj held executive and management roles at Avanex,
ColorChip, and Fujitsu. He has built successful global sales channels
around the world including North America, Japan, Korea, China and Europe --
a talent he will leverage to support Capella's next phase of international
expansion. During his 16 year career working at start-ups as well as
Fortune 100 organizations, Reloj received multiple awards and accolades for
exemplary sales and management performance. Reloj is a graduate from the
University of San Francisco holding a Bachelor of Science degree in
Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting.
Ken Falta has 15 years of experience in leadership roles at the forefront
of the optoelectronics and telecommunications industry with
responsibilities encompassing business development, marketing and
management. As the new Vice President of Business Development and Product
Line Management, Ken Falta will lead product planning and business
development activities as the company strengthens and broadens its product
and technology offerings around the globe. Prior to this new position,
Falta was Capella's vice president of sales where he directed the
development and implementation of marketing and operations. Before joining
Capella, Falta was responsible for worldwide OEM sales at Glimmerglass,
Inc. and OMM, Inc. At Lucent Technologies Optoelectronics Division and
General Instrument (now Motorola), Falta developed and managed product
strategy for telecommunications, CATV and datacom markets. Falta has a
BSEE from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from LaSalle University
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
