Educational Scholarships for Military Spouses, Caregivers Prepares for Career
TRS Institute Announces Educational Scholarships for Military Spouses and Caregivers Program Prepares them for a Successful Career in Medical Transcription
Greensboro, North Carolina, September 10, 2008 - Transcription Relief Services (TRS) is pleased to announce its exciting new sponsorship initiative with Operation Life Transformed (OLT) on behalf of military spouses and caregivers to our nation's war wounded service members. TRS will assist OLT's efforts in helping military spouses and caregivers to enter the workforce by enthusiastically supporting their programs.
Bob Harvey, President and CEO of TRS, has pledged four fully-paid scholarships to TRS Institute for instruction in Medical Transcription to any four Operation Life Transformed qualified student recipients.

"TRS recognizes the unique challenges that face military spouses and caregivers, and we view a career in Medical Transcription as an ideal employment solution since it is work that can often be done from home," says Harvey.
Operation Life Transformed is an innovative 501c3 charitable foundation that provides funding for military spouses and primary caregivers of wounded military service members to attend online training programs. Once these students have received their certification, OLT then finds viable employment for the graduate. The goal of OLT is to promote financial independence for military families through flexible, portable employment opportunities, with a focus on the military spouse.

In addition to the scholarships, TRS has pledged significantly reduced tuition for those students whose instruction is funded through OLT, as well as additional beneficial programs and funds to help remove the barriers that military spouses often face in joining the workforce. One example is a "refresher" course for those OLT students who participate in a screening offered to them by TRS. TRS has charitably offered to create and administer this course to help individuals see what, if any, deficiency may be present that could hinder their employment prospects in the medical transcription profession.
Upon completion, the TRS Employer Affiliate Program will be available to assist OLT students for one year once they have completed their TRS refresher program. This generous support will benefit many of the spouses and caregivers who come to OLT seeking to enhance their quality of life and independence by way of employment.
