Sustainable Spaces Names Sandra Stumbaugh Vice President of Marketing
New Position to Spearhead Brand-Building for Home Performance Retrofitter

Sustainable Spaces, a national leader in
the growing field of home health and residential energy efficiency, today
announced it has named Sandra Stumbaugh as Vice President of Marketing.
With more than 20 years of marketing and brand development experience,
Stumbaugh brings an extensive background in building strong brands. At
Sustainable Spaces, she will oversee all aspects of developing the
marketing program to support the company's objective of becoming
homeowners' trusted advisor for energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
Stumbaugh's hire is the latest in a series of milestones for the company.
Last week, Sustainable Spaces announced it had secured $6 million in Series
A funding. The company also just conducted its 1,000th home energy audit
and is on track for 100% year-over-year revenue growth. Additionally,
Sustainable Spaces' president Matt Golden was recently a featured speaker
at West Coast Green, the largest green building conference in the United
States.
"Addressing the inefficiency of energy usage in existing homes is one of
the greatest market opportunities today," said Stumbaugh. "There are more
than 70 million single-family homes in the United States -- many with air
leaks, duct leaks, and minimal insulation -- and virtually all of them
could benefit from Sustainable Spaces expertise. I'm very excited to join
the company and to work with the team that has been responsible for
reducing carbon output in the Bay Area by approximately 1,900 tons in 2008
and has enabled homeowners to reduce their energy usage by an average of
40%."
Most recently, Stumbaugh was a marketing director at Dreyer's Grand Ice
Cream in Oakland, CA. Among her activities there, she oversaw the
development and launch of Dibs, a line of bite-sized ice cream, which is
now an approximately $100 million business. Prior to Dreyer's, Stumbaugh
worked in various marketing roles at Nestlé USA over eight years, including
marketing director of new products for Nestlé Ice Cream and marketing
manager of Juicy Juice, the leading brand of 100% juice for kids. Stumbaugh
has also held marketing management positions at Clorox, Boudin Bakery and
the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. She holds an MBA from the Haas
School of Business at Berkeley and an undergraduate degree from Penn State
University. Stumbaugh currently resides on the Advisory Board of the Center
for Culinary Development and the East Bay Haas Alumni Network Board.
"We are very pleased that Sandra has come on board," said Pratap Mukherjee,
CEO of Sustainable Spaces. "She has a tremendous track record in
successfully growing brands and developing effective marketing programs.
Sandra's breadth of experience will be instrumental in supporting our plans
to meet the exploding demand for our services."
