Wins Both "Technology Innovation" and "Networking Product" of the Year by CNET Networks, the UK's Largest Online Publisher

Ruckus Wireless(TM) today announced that its ZoneFlex 802.11n Smart Wireless LAN system has been named "Networking Product of the Year" and its Smart Mesh Networking technology has been named "Technology Innovation of the Year" by CNET Networks UK, the United Kingdom's largest online publisher.

Ruckus Smart Mesh Network technology and ZoneFlex(TM) enterprise Smart Wireless LAN (WLAN) system were recognized as a unique achievement for combining intelligent RF routing and 802.11n with advances in Wi-Fi meshing.

Over the last 24 months, Ruckus Wireless has won more than 25 awards for remarkable company, product, technology or individual achievement. The CNET Networks UK 2008 Business Technology Awards, among the most prestigious in the networking industry, were judged by a panel comprised of senior practitioners and experts from the industry and media. The awards were held at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, London, on Tuesday 23rd September.

"2008 has been another fantastic year for the UK technology industry despite the current economic climate. The quality of the entries we received is testament to the outstanding talent of all those involved in business and technology in the UK and proof that innovation in the industry is still going strong," said Tony Hallett, editorial director - technology and business, CNET Networks UK. "I would like to congratulate all the award winners on their success and hope the next 12 months are equally as impressive."

In the Technology Innovation of the Year category, Ruckus beat competition from giants including Cable & Wireless and Citrix. Ruckus impressed the judging panel with its distinctive and new approach to building high-performance WLANs -- evidenced by the judges' comments: "Too much new technology is hobbled by being used in old ways. By developing mesh networking that makes good use of one of wireless' unique aspects, Ruckus Wireless has shown the practicality of a brand new way of thinking."

In the Networking Product of the Year category, the judges said, "Anyone can plug in a wireless router. Not everyone can manage hundreds, let alone combine the latest technology into a way that truly delivers on its promises. Ruckus Wireless' holistic approach blends advanced technology into a complete solution."

"We are ecstatic to have won both of these awards on the same night, and to have our products and technology recognized as innovative and advancing the state of the wireless industry," said Selina Lo, president and CEO of Ruckus Wireless. "We are helping companies of all sizes reap the benefits of reliable Wi-Fi without the cost, complexity and cumbersome problems associated with conventional wireless LAN systems. This is imperative as organizations across all sectors demand more robust and stable connections that enable Wi-Fi to be used for just more than surfing the Internet at work."
