Litter-Robot(TM) Helps Cats Go "Green"

Automated Pet Care Products, Inc. announced today the launch of the "ECO" version of the Litter-Robot(TM) (www.Litter-Robot.com) which utilizes 100% post consumer materials in the base, globe, and waste drawer components, representing 84 percent of the total volume of plastic used in the Litter-Robot. The Litter-Robot is also the only self-cleaning litter box made in the United States, allowing customers to "buy local" thus avoiding the cost and pollution of transporting goods from China.

"For years, we have had incredible feedback from cat owners about the Litter-Robot," says Brad Baxter, president of Automated Pet Care Products, Inc. "Cat owners frequently commented on how happy they were to have an automatic litter box that saved on the amount of litter they used, and that they didn't need to buy special receptacles or cartridges that also added bulk to the waste stream. We were inspired by these comments to explore just how 'green' we could make the Litter-Robot and we are proud to be introducing our latest model using a significant amount of recycled materials."

By using the Litter-Robot, cat owners who used to scoop their litter boxes multiple times each day, now only need to remove a standard kitchen-type garbage bag from the waste drawer once or twice per week. The Litter-Robot is a patented "best in class" product which uses a sifting system to separate clumps from the clean dry litter. According to cat owners, the sifting approach is superior to raking for removing cat waste and reducing odor. The Litter-Robot is the most efficient automated litter box in terms of litter usage and reducing landfill input from litter waste. Many cat owners also report that the Litter-Robot will pay for itself over time in litter savings alone. Additionally, the environmentally friendly Litter-Robot works with a multitude of litters including a variety of biodegradable litters.

The Litter-Robot is the perfect litter management solution for the cat owner who wants to eliminate the chore of personally scooping the litter box while at the same time reducing environmental impact. Scooping is a dirty job and no one needs to do it if they have a Litter-Robot.

Press Advisory:

The new ECO Litter-Robot will be displayed at the Automated Pet Care Products, Inc. booth #2101 at the Backer Pet Industry Trade Show in Chicago Oct. 3-5, 2008.
