Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA): Allergy Alert - Improperly Declared Milk in Oceania Duo Mousse Lobster with Tomatoes & Basil / Smoked Salmon & Pesto

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Cuisine Malimousse Inc. are warning people with allergies to milk proteins not to consume Oceania Duo Mousse Lobster with tomatoes & basil / Smoked Salmon & pesto described below. The affected product contains milk which is not declared in English on the label. The French ingredients list has milk declared.
The affected product, Oceania Duo Mousse Lobster with tomatoes & basil / Smoked Salmon & pesto is sold in a 130 g package bearing UPC 7 72643 02600 5. All Best Before dates up to and including 2008 DE 02 (December 2, 2008) are affected by this alert.
This product has been distributed in Quebec and New Brunswick.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk proteins.
The manufacturer, Cuisine Malimousse Inc., Saint-Augustin, Quebec is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
