Sept. 27: Women Empowering Women Through Fashion, Media And Music Awards Hosted By Glow International Group

Vanessa L. Williams To Present Award At 2nd Annual Women Empowering Women Gala

The celebration will be held at Lladro Boutique, 43 West 57th Street, on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.

This initiative, the first of its kind, celebrates and honors the powerful women in fashion, music and media. These women have been able to break barriers, set standards and, in some cases, have broken the glass ceiling within their respective industries. "The Women Empowering Women Gala was created to recognize and bring attention to powerful female entrepreneurs and executives, who through hard work and determination have been able change the face of today's fashion, music and media industries," states Kisha Mays, CEO of Glow International Group.

This year's honoree of the Women Empowering Women Lifetime Achievement Award is Ana Ortiz, star of the hit sitcom, Ugly Betty. Lladro is generously donating 10 percent of all sales of the Yoga I sculptures sold to the foundation.

Past honorees include Hollywood and television's finest, Vanessa L. Williams, celebrated actress and musician. Ms. Williams will be presenting the award to Ana Ortiz.
