MLB.com to Commemorate Yankee Stadium Finale
NEW YORK, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- MLB.com, the official website of Major
League Baseball, will offer extensive multi-platform content as it chronicles
the final game in the 85-year history of Yankee Stadium on Sunday, September
21. The coverage will be highlighted with 18 consecutive hours of classic
Yankee Stadium games and footage leading into the pre-game ceremonies,
MLB.com's exclusive The Manager's View with Joe Girardi and live look-ins of
the game.
Beginning at 12:00 a.m. (EDT) on Sunday, MLB.com will begin streaming many
of Yankee Stadium's most memorable games from its archives, including games
featuring franchise greats such as Mickey Mantle, Mariano Rivera, Reggie
Jackson and Derek Jeter and dating back to 1952.
Fans can share their own memories of the ballpark with other fans through
MLB.com's Live Chat functionality and then own and download via iTunes the
full-game video archive of the Yankee Stadium finale as well as all of the
classic games aired throughout the day. The game will also be available
through MLB.com's Condensed Games, a 20-minute on-demand highlight product
featuring every out, hit and run.
In addition, MLB.com senior correspondent Hal Bodley, who has been
covering baseball since 1958, will share his unique perspective live from The
House That Ruth Built, a venue he first visited for the 1950 World Series and
first worked at eight seasons later for the 1958 Fall Classic.

12:00 am: Classic games from Yankee Stadium -- Relive all of the
heart-stopping and emotionally charged moments from 'The Cathedral of
Baseball.'
6:00 pm: Yankee Stadium Finale Pre-Game Show -- Live reports from
MLB.com'sNew York studios and the ballpark will include special guests,
exclusive features and pre-game ceremonies.
8:15 pm: Live look-ins -- MLB.com will offer live look-ins to the many
historic moments from the Yankees and Orioles game, including the complete
first and ninth innings and a post-game show.
