Ticketmaster's Paperless Ticket(tm) to be Used for AC/DC's 'Black Ice' World Tour
Fan-Friendly Venue Access Will be Deployed for Up to 3,000 Seats Each Night of the Band's Widely Anticipated Tour
WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Sept. 18, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
* Ticketmaster's Paperless Ticket(tm) will be used
for AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour, the company announced today.
* AC/DC is using Paperless Ticket to help ensure fan club members
and fans purchasing designated seats will be able to secure
tickets at face value. Seats delivered with Paperless Ticket
will not be transferable.
* These fans will not have to stand in long will call lines or
remember to bring their paper tickets to the show. They simply
present venue door staff their credit card, along with a valid
photo ID, and they'll get a receipt and be granted immediate
access. The entire process is quick, simple, and secure.
* Paperless Ticket will be used for up to 3,000 seats each night
of the Black Ice World Tour.
* Tickets for the North American Leg of the Black Ice World Tour
go on sale the weekend of September 20th at 10:00 a.m. local
time. Tickets for the Toronto, Boston, and Vancouver concerts
go on sale Friday, September 19th. Tickets for the Wilkes-Barre,
Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, New York, Washington, D.C.,
Philadelphia, East Rutherford, Minneapolis, Seattle, Los
Angeles, Phoenix, San Antonio, Atlanta, and Charlotte concerts
go on sale Saturday, September 20th. Tickets for the Oakland
concert go on sale Sunday, September 21st. Tickets for the
Houston concert go on sale Saturday, October 4th.
* Tickets to AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour are available through
Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster charge-by-phone, Ticketmaster
retail outlets, or at ACDC.com. Specific market on sale dates
and times are listed at Ticketmaster.com's AC/DC page.
* AC/DC's latest studio album, "Black Ice," will be released on
October 20th and sold in the United States exclusively at Wal-
Mart, Sam's Club, and www.ACDC.com.
* Fans ordering tickets on Ticketmaster.com will have an exclusive
opportunity to preorder the "Black Ice" CD in connection with
their ticket purchase.
* AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour will open on October 28th at the
Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
* Paperless Ticket only is available through Ticketmaster.com or
through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone.
