Hundreds of AIDS Activists to March Across Brooklyn Bridge and Rally at City Hall to Demand National AIDS Strategy from Obama and McCain
NEW YORK, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Thursday, September 18,
2008 hundreds of AIDS activists will march across the Brooklyn Bridge and hold
a rally atNew York City Hall to call on presidential hopefuls Sens. John
McCain and Barack Obama to commit to creating a national plan to end AIDS.
The march and rally, part of a national caravan toMississippi for the
first presidential debate, will highlight the consequences of $6 million in
HIV/AIDS budget cuts inNew York City this year -- just as new statistics show
thatNew York City's HIV infection rate is three times the national average.

Who: Community leaders, politicians, and HIV/AIDS activists and
