High School Athletes and Fans Score Big With Jookt.com
DENVER, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- http://www.Jookt.com is a new,
interactive media site dedicated entirely to high school sports. Jookt gives
students, athletes, school reporters, fans and parents the power to generate
the site's main content. As a free, user-driven site, Jookt showcases videos
of high schools students doing everything from scoring the game-winning goal,
to dissing a rival school's mascot, to hanging around with their teammates.

Visitors to http://www.Jookt.com can check-out amazing athletic talent and
hilarious antics, but they can also upload their own content to Jookt for
free. Whether it's an athlete who wants to prove her sport is the most
aggressive, or a student reporter who wants to document his school's march to
the state championship, Jookt is the place to go.
"What makes Jookt different is that the site isn't about scores - instead
it's like SportsCenter meets YouTube," said Jeff Bennis, CEO of Jookt. "Jookt
is a place for people who love high school sports - from the games to the
end-zone dances, from the rivalries to the underdogs. But most importantly,
Jookt is about students, because it's driven by them."
Hannah Bower, a top gymnast at Loveland High School, has already uploaded
dozens of videos to Jookt and even has a Jookt Athlete Profile. "Jookt is
awesome, because it shows the behind-the-scenes in your sport, and allows
people to see you as not only an athlete but you as a person," said Bower.
"Jookt is about sports and also what makes the athletes who they are."
Besides user clips and videos, Jookt has developed original programming
with a show called "The Stream" which features behind-the-scenes moments in
high school sports, as well as news and highlights for high school students
everywhere. The best user-uploaded videos are featured, as are stories around
topics such as girls' rugby teams and even movie reviews, all of which make
"The Stream" another reason to logon to http://www.Jookt.com.
Jookt ambassadors will be out at high school athletic events this season,
complete with the Jookt Airstream trailer which is a traveling production
studio where athletes, celebrities, coaches and fans will be interviewed on
various sports-related topics. Fans, students, boosters and parents can stop
by the Jookt trailer to win prizes, participate in contests, or even win the
chance to be featured nationally on "The Stream".
"Jookt is one of my favorite sites now because it blends things I love -
sports and entertainment," continued Bower.
