24 Hour Fitness Supports The Biggest Loser for Sixth Consecutive Season
SAN RAMON, Calif., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time,
contestants on season six of NBC's wildly popular reality series The Biggest
Loser: Families will get some help from 24 Hour Fitness while appearing on the
show and after they are voted off to help them reach their goals at home.
Throughout The Biggest Loser: Families, debuting on NBC on Tuesday,
September 16th at 8:00 p.m. eastern/pacific and 7:00 p.m. central/mountain, 24
Hour Fitness is sending its certified personal trainers to contestants' homes
after they leave the show to provide tips and support to help them reach their
ultimate weight loss goals. The national fitness chain also created an
integrated marketing campaign featuring the first-ever female winner from The
Biggest Loser season five, Ali Vincent.
"24 Hour Fitness has helped me change my life through fitness," said Ali
Vincent. "I've been a member since 2004, and since the show finale I have made
fitness a part of my lifestyle. I work out with a 24 Hour Fitness personal
trainer and I take advantage of the Group X classes like my favorite, 24
Cycle. I know it is hard to take the first step, but I hope my personal story
and the obstacles I have overcome will inspire others to get started on their
own fitness journey."
Ali has stayed in shape since the end of season five by continuing her
workouts at 24 Hour Fitness. In an effort to help this year's contestants
obtain similar results, 24 Hour Fitness will provide a personal trainer to
visit each contestant immediately after they are sent home from the show. The
trainer will assess their food supplies and provide healthy eating tips, as
well as develop a customized workout plan to help them stay on track. 24 Hour
Fitness also has provided The Biggest Loser contestants with their own in-home
exercise tools, including mats, stability balls, and conditioning bands.
"24 Hour Fitness is proud to continue its partnership with The Biggest
Loser for the sixth consecutive season," said Tony Wells, chief marketing
officer for 24 Hour Fitness. "Our personal trainer's home visits that we added
this season are another great way for us to support the show's contestants. 24
Hour Fitness looks forward to helping people change their lives on and off the
show, as well as inside and outside of our clubs."
