Olympic Gold Comes to Anaheim GardenWalk Music Series
ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- It's an all-day community
celebration at Anaheim GardenWalk this Saturday, September 13th in the Gala
Garden! The morning kicks off at 11:30 a.m. with a recognition ceremony and
autograph session to honor the 2008 Olympic gold medal-winning Men's
Volleyball team hosted by theCity of Anaheim. The celebration continues
throughout the day crescendoing into a live concert with Latin sensation Louie
Cruz Beltran taking the stage at 5:30 p.m. as part of the month-long Garden
Party Music Series.
In 2006,Anaheim welcomed the U.S. Men's National team as they relocated
their training headquarters fromColorado. This migration triggered
unparalleled community support, including a special city-wide send-off
celebration prior to the Beijing Olympics. Fresh off their triumphant and
undefeated winning streak, Saturday's celebration will include appearances by
Anaheim's "home" team of Volleyball Olympians, many of whom live inOrange
County,Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle, City Council members, and Men's Volleyball
coach Hugh McCutcheon.

Anaheim GardenWalk's Garden Party Music Series continues as Louie Cruz
Beltran and his Latin Jazz Ensemble take the outdoor stage from 5:30 pm to
8:30 pm. Beltran and his ensemble are renowned for a stimulating show that
mixes a crowd-pleasing repertoire of Brazilian and Afro-Cuban music with R&B,
Salsa, and Reggae.
The Party continues on Saturday, September 20th with Billy Vera & The
Beaters, performing their hit single "At this Moment," which ruled the charts
for 15 weeks. Surf music sensations The Chantays bring their number one hit
"Pipeline" to Anaheim GardenWalk to wrap up the series on September 27th.
Start your morning on September 27th with Harley-Davidson as they take
over Anaheim GardenWalk with a Motorcycle & Fashion show that includes an
antique bike display, bike show and judging, prizes, food tasting and more.
Restaurants and shops will keep late hours for those interested in
shopping or dining after the concert.
