Former University of Phoenix President to Lead Nouveau University

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dr. Laura Palmer Noone, former President of University of Phoenix, the largest private university in the world, has been named as the Chief Executive Officer for Nouveau University.

Dr. Noone is renowned as a leader in academic excellence. While at University of Phoenix, under Dr. Noone's leadership, the University grew from 72,000 to 283,000 students. In addition to her pivotal role as President of University of Phoenix, Dr. Noone holds a long list of accolades and accomplishments and serves in many advisory roles. Dr. Noone has served as vice chair and as a member of the US Department of Education's National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity. She currently serves as a member of theArizona Board for Private Postsecondary Education and on the Arizona Family College Savings Plan Oversight Committee. Dr. Noone is also active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors of Child Crisis Center and Banner Health Foundation ofArizona as well as working with many exceptional organizations including Fresh Start Women's Foundation and the American Heart Association.

Dr. Noone retired from University of Phoenix in June 2006 after a lengthy career with the university.
