BEIJING, Sept. 10 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- The latest information from
Tootoo.com demonstrates that energy saving lamps
(http://www.lighting-china-supplier.com/buy-energy_saving/ ) produced in Yuyao,
China, are expanding their export markets this year. About nine manufacturers
of energy saving lamps started to export their products to overseas countries,
especially to European countries, such asGermany. According to government
statistics, Yuyao exported about 17 million energy saving lamps during the
first eight months of 2008, valuing at more than 17 million USD, a
year-on-year increase of 307% and 485% respectively.

Energy saving lamps are replacing their high energy consuming counterparts
in many countries due to worldwide energy shortages, especially in the
developed countries of EU. EU has announced banning of incandescent lamp sales
as from 2009. Many countries, such asAustralia,Canada,Japan and many others
are trying to reduce usage of high energy consumption products. The export
market potential is great with a spiking demand in the international market.
In order to satisfy the huge demand in the international market and
broaden the export of energy saving lamps, Yuyao lighting manufacturers
(http://www.lighting-china-supplier.com/ ) are developing their advantages in
technology and information to help related enterprises improve the quality of
their products. Facing anti-dumping policies that go againstChina, technology
barriers of RoHS and EUP order from EU states, lighting manufacturers have to
do their best to improve the quality of their products in order to meet with
the standards of EU. They have to pay more attention on brand building and to
ensure supply of raw materials, which are the keys to increase export quickly.
Apart from traditional destinations ofSoutheast Asia andSouth America, many
lamps are now going toBelgium,USA and some other 29 countries, with the EU
market now accounts for 80% of the total. The sales volume and unit price have
also increased significantly in this period.
