Surgient to Showcase the Power of 'Policy-Driven Self-Service(TM)' Virtualized IT
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Surgient, the visionary of
self-service virtualization automation and lab management, today announced
that it will be participating in two upcoming virtualization industry events
that will highlight, through customer examples and demonstrations, the power
of the Surgient Virtual Automation Platform.
Hemanth Guttikonda, QA manager at Insuresoft, will be featured in a live
webinar, "Accelerate Test Cycles and Increase Software Quality with
Policy-Driven Self-Service(TM)." Scheduled for Wednesday, September 10, 2008
at 2:00 p.m. eastern time, the webinar will explain how Surgient's solutions
are used to set up and tear down application testing and QA environments.
Insuresoft development teams rely on Surgient's Virtual Automation Platform to
save development time and more quickly deliver products to market by
eliminating the need for IT to set up specific software lab testing
environments.
During the webinar, Guttikonda will describe how Insuresoft combined the
Surgient Virtual Automation Platform with HP Quality Center as a self-service
solution to set up testing environments that quickly find and fix software
defects. Surgient issued a press release in June that describes in more detail
Insuresoft's use of Surgient's products (See "Insuresoft Selects Surgient
...," June 17, 2008.)
Surgient executives will also demonstrate its Virtual Automation Platform
at the Microsoft virtualization launch event (Get Virtual Now) on September 8
inBellevue, Wash. Surgient is a silver sponsor, and it will be exhibiting in
booth S8.
"As virtualization is adopted more broadly, Surgient is delivering
solutions that allow IT to capitalize on virtualized resources by setting up
policy-driven self-service methods for access to those resources," said Dave
Malcolm, CTO, Surgient. "In this way, IT maintains control and saves
significant time and resources by letting employees drive the process of
configuring environments for software testing, training and demonstrating. We
will show how this works, based on real customer deployments, in the weeks to
come."
