Dan-O Offers Free Music Downloads to Introduce New CD Release

GARRISON, N.Y., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Pop/Rock Singer/Songwriter Dan-O is offering free music downloads on his website DanoSongs.com to introduce people to his new CD called "Guitar, Lyrics and Cutups." In addition to his own music the artist has teamed up with EZ Tracks to offer visitors to his site an introductory music subscription that allots new members an initial one thousand MP3 file downloads at no charge.

"As a music expert on the Yahoo! Answers website the biggest question I see is people who want to know how to download songs freely without getting into legal trouble or having to install software that could potentially have viruses," says Dan-O. "With so much available space on iPods today I want to give people easy access to tons of the music they want."

Apple's iPod MP3 music player holds up to 20,000 songs. The iTunes price of $.99 per song makes it financially impractical to fill up with paid downloads. At the same time the record industry continues to pursue legal action against websites and peer-to-peer file sharing networks that allow downloads which violate copyrights. This is driving an increased demand for free and less expensive music. "Most people really want to do the right thing but they love music and just can't afford pay per downloads," explains Dan-O.
