iLoaded Fortifies the Download Boundaries With Quova
IP Geolocation Keeps Digital Media Downloads Within Permitted Territories

Quova, Inc., the leading provider of
Internet geolocation data and services, today announced that iLoaded, a Web
site offering legal full-length feature films, film trailers, video and
music downloads for PCs, mobile phones and other portable devices, is the
latest online content provider to adopt Quova's IP geolocation data to help
with its digital rights management process. By identifying the geographic
source location of online users, Quova helps iLoaded ensure that access is
enabled only for the territories defined by the content distributors.
iLoaded was the one of the first Web sites to create legal video downloads
and is a market leader in original online productions. However, with much
of the content under specific territorial copyright from the original
producers, only viewers from the permitted territories, grouped into the
UK, USA, Europe and Rest of World, are allowed access. Without this
guarantee, iLoaded would be liable to the original producers and could face
severe penalties from both a legal perspective and an impact on advertising
revenue. iLoaded required a flexible solution with complete seamless
integration to allow restriction of media download access to territories as
defined by content providers.
According to market analysts Verdict, the UK digital download market was
worth £163 million ($288 million) in 2007, an increase of over 45% on 2006.
By 2012, digital spending in the UK is expected to reach £600 million ($1.1
billion) per year, so compliance with the licensing rights for programming
distribution is becoming an increasingly important issue.

Being able to determine the IP location of iLoaded end-users is a
pre-requisite for many licensed content providers to guarantee that content
is delivered only to the permitted territories. The accuracy and breadth of
Quova's IP geolocation data allows the site to instantly identify an online
downloader's location down to the city level, as well as their specific
Internet service provider and connection type.
