Stater Bros. Markets to Deliver First Load of Refrigerated Product to New Norton Distribution Center

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Stater Bros. Markets is pleased to announce the first delivery of Refrigerated Product to its 2.1 million sq. ft. Norton Distribution Center. This historic occasion will be under the direction of the Company's Vice President-Produce Division Roger Schroeder. Schroeder will be accompanying Stater Bros' Senior Truck Driver Danny Flores to begin the process of transferring product from the current Produce Distribution Center inColton to the new Refrigerated Distribution Center inSan Bernardino.

Stater Bros. Chairman and CEO Jack H. Brown, who will be at the new Distribution Center to greet the truck when it arrives, stated, "We are so proud of our new energy efficient Refrigerated Distribution Center. Now, over 90% of our perishables will be coming out of our new Stater Bros. Norton Distribution Center inSan Bernardino."

The Company's new Refrigerated Distribution Center is scheduled to begin operation this month and includes multiple temperature zones which range from 55 degrees F to -20 degrees F, a humidity controlled produce room, two humidity controlled floral rooms, energy efficient air doors, and other state- of-the-art technologies to contribute to a safe and productive operation.

The new Stater Bros. Dry Distribution Center began operation in February of 2008.

The new Stater Bros. Norton Distribution Center replaces eight Stater Bros. Distribution Centers, which were located inColton,Redlands, andMira Loma.
