LP33.tv Unveils the Beta Site of the Music Insiders Database, the Comprehensive Online Networking Directory for the Music Trade

theMIDB.com features profiles of thousands of musicians, executives, artist managers, songwriters, publishers, producers, sound engineers, makeup artists, journalists and other members of the music trade. By signing up for a free theMIDB.com account, trade professionals may add or update their biographies with their resumes, awards, photographs, recommendations and other pertinent career information. This information will also be available in a shareable widget to be used on other social networking sites.

"This kind of online tool is invaluable for the music trade," says LP33.tv CEO and founder Andrew Bentley. "This is a business where people must constantly connect, discover and promote in order to keep their careers viable -- and finding the right talent, the right brains, and the right backing is essential. The online database was designed and developed by a team of music industry vets, including Bentley himself, whose resume includes positions as the CFO of the Virgin Music Group, as well as EMI's international territories. Bentley was also CEO of EMI Music/Asia Pacific. Driven by LP33.tv's director of content Vlad Lodzinski, a former executive producer for MTV, the online music resource will feature rich content and resources such as, industry news and podcasts by industry experts. Technical development was led by LP33.tv's LJ Scott, a musician and an experienced developer of web 2.0 music sites.

The Music Insiders Database is the first product in LP33.tv's planned suite of online music services aimed at musicians, industry insiders and music fans. This fall the company will launch LP33.tv, a platform allowing musicians to promote, license and offer their music for download, while online TV channels -- similar to an old-school MTV -- will feature daily news, interviews, live concerts, pop videos and more. The site allows industry members to discover new talent, musicians to promote and sell their music directly through a Web-based independent music label, and fans to uncover and enjoy new music.
