Copper Reef Mining Corporation (the "Company") (CNQ: CZCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen L. Masson, M.Sc., P.Geo. as the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer.
Stephen Masson, M.Sc. P.Geo. of Flin Flon, Manitoba, who as a large shareholder and former President and C.E.O. of Copper Reef, was the main architect in the building of Copper Reef's well positioned land holdings and mineral assets in the Flin Flon Greenstone Belt. These includes: the second largest land position in the main Flin Flon Mining Camp, as well as holdings in the Snow Lake-Reed Lake Camps and Sherridon Mining Camp of Manitoba, and its ownership of the McIlvenna Deposit (25%) and Former Hanson Lake Mine (100%) in Saskatchewan. Mr. Masson has led Copper Reef's successful past winter drill program on the Copper Reef deposit, located just south of Flin Flon. His strong exploration skills in the region were honed as Exploration Manager for various junior and mid size companies including Granges Inc. and Aur Resources over the past 19 years. From 1997 to 2004, Mr Masson held various senior positions in Foran Mining (FOM- TSX-V), including President and C.E.O. where he gained experience and skills in the management of a publically traded company. Previously, Stephen worked as a Regional Exploration Manager for Goldfields Canada and as a senior geologist for various exploration companies. Stephen is the current President of the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Prospectors Association, a member of the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of both Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and a fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.
