Local DRS Technologies Engineer in Kanata Awarded for Technology Leadership

Robert Turzo, Kanata resident and engineer at DRS Technologies Canada, Ltd., has been recognized for excellence in printed circuit board design by Mentor Graphics, a world leader in computer aided design solutions.

r. Turzo, an Intermediate Hardware Developer at DRS, won the printed circuit board Technology Leadership Award in the Military & Aerospace category for his work on the DRS SHIMCOM 3100 product. SHIMCOM is a digital secure communications systems used by the U.S. and Canadian navies onboard several classes of ships.

Selected from a field of entries from 20 countries, Turzo's work "demonstrates DRS Technologies' leadership in innovative electronic design in naval secure communication systems," said DRS Technologies Canada, Ltd., Vice President and General Manager Luc Maglieri.
