CECO Environmental Announces Two New Orders Totaling Approximately $4.0 Million
CINCINNATI, Sept. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CECO Environmental Corp.
(Nasdaq: CECE), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial
ventilation systems, announced today that it has received two new orders
totaling approximately $4.0 million.
Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, "These orders
were secured by our Kirk & Blum and Fisher-Klosterman subsidiaries. Kirk &
Blum's order is for equipment that will be installed at a new foreign-owned
automotive manufacturing facility in the southeasternUnited States. That
order, coupled with one we announced in August means that we now have
commitments for $5.0 million worth of work at that facility. The
Fisher-Klosterman order is for equipment that will be shipped to a
petrochemical facility inTaiwan."
Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "In a
difficult economic environment, our bookings continue to be maintained.
Bookings through August stand at approximately $126 million as compared to
$130 million at the same time last year. More significantly, our backlog has
remained steady. At the beginning of this year the backlog was approximately
$85 million and at the end of July it was approximately $84 million. To be
able to maintain our revenue stream at this time is very encouraging for
CECO's prospects going forward."
