Described by Mark Lamaar (BBC Radio 2) as "the UK's premiere Ska band" No.1 Station are the vanguards of a new generation of Blue Beat. Playing a scorching blend of authentic Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae in the way it was originally intended. They've been single-handedly responsible for the resurgence of the seminal Blue Beat record label and have released half a dozen internationally acclaimed singles on the imprint. The first band to do so in decades.
Rockers Revolt are delighted to be releasing their next album. 15 scorching tracks swaying from authentic sound of ska to old school dancehall, from the sweetest harmony filled rocksteady to roots inspired dancefloor fillers. It features so wonderful guest vocalists and mcs and the legendary Tan Tan on trumpet (famed for his work with Georgie Fame, Rico, Ska Cubano and more). The album is produced by No.1 Station frontman/chief songwriter Sir Marcus Downbeat (one time member of Lee Perry's Upsetters).
After a hugely successful summer playing; a record breaking 8 shows at this years Glastonbury plus Rhythm, Rhythms Of The World, Lamaar Tree, Secret Garden Party, Norwich and Kilburn Festivals, No1 Station will being doing a club tour of the UK from October through to December.
