To Talk or Not to Talk - Voicemail Screening Lets Consumers Decide

calls you definitely want to take and some you definitely do not. Others fall
into a gray area. That's why EMBARQ has become the first communications
company to offer a voicemail screening feature to its customers. EMBARQ(TM)
Voicemail customers can now monitor their calls with EMBARQ(TM) Call Screening
just like they used to with their answering machine, but from the privacy of
their phone.
This new call screening service gives customers a practical solution for
all the times they are left wondering whether or not they want to pick up the
phone. Now, if they choose not to answer, they can listen as callers leave a
message, and then break in and take the call if they decide they want to talk.
EMBARQ(TM) Call Screening is easy to use and is now being offered to
customers with EMBARQ(TM) Voicemail at no additional cost. When the customer
elects not to answer an incoming call to their home, the unanswered call is
forwarded to voicemail. When the calling party starts to leave a message, the
customer is notified with a distinctive ring, and EMBARQ(TM) VMESSAGE displays
on the customer's Caller ID. When the customer picks up the phone they will
hear, "EMBARQ(TM) Call Screening is on; to speak directly with the caller,
press any key." The customer then hears the calling party's message as it is
being recorded and can press any key to talk directly with the calling party.

Customers with EMBARQ(TM) Voicemail can activate this free enhancement by
simply calling their voicemail service at 1-877-VMESSAGE (1-877-863-7724),
selecting option 3 in their mailbox setting and then option 9. They can also
