Pacific Sunwear Announces August Sales Results

ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 4, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. today reported that total PacSun sales for the four weeks of fiscal August ended August 30, 2008 were $163.1 million, a decrease of four percent from total PacSun sales of $170.0 million during the same period last year. PacSun same-store sales decreased six percent during the same period.

Total PacSun sales for the first 30 weeks of fiscal 2008 were $742.7 million, a slight decrease from total PacSun sales of $749.9 million during the same period last year. PacSun same store sales decreased two percent during the same period.
